I believe in unicorns

In case you weren’t aware, today is National Unicorn Day…

Not being a steadfast believer in all things mythical, I initially blew off this most glittery of holidays and went about my work.

Unexpectedly, in the middle of the afternoon, I was thrown into a place of deep thought and prayer...  placing my faith in Someone I could not touch or see...

Someone as touchable as a unicorn.

I left the office and worked my way through town checking off my list of errands and I found myself distracted... thinking about all of the things I believe in that I’m NOT able to touch or see or hear... Things that I believe in so deeply they make me WHO I am and often nudge me to do what I do...

I believe in the love of my people...

                     the power of prayer...

and the opportunity in each new season.

I place my faith in God ...

the wisdom of healers...

and the miracles that lie hidden in “luck”

I believe in the unbreakable strength of friendship...

and the promise of each new day.

I cherish the memories that fill my heart with love...

the ghosts that leave forgotten keepsakes within reach...

  and the strength of tradition.

I appreciate the gift of good health...

         the comfort of family...

and on second thought... the magic of unicorns.

Be happy.
